You probably already know that Bloodborne is hailed as one of the top-tier entries in the Souls series. It’s the kind of game where its dark, gritty atmosphere and monstrous enemies could easily have sprung from the pages of an H.P. Lovecraft novel. However, what many fans aren’t thrilled about is the game’s performance, particularly the lack of an optimized frame rate.
Interestingly enough, even Ben Starr, who lent his voice to Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy 16, has joined the chorus of voices yearning for a revamped version of the 2015 PlayStation 4 classic. As reported by GermanStrands on Twitter, Starr took the stage at this year’s Golden Joystick Awards to express his thoughts, claiming it’s “absolutely criminal we don’t have an official version of Bloodborne running at 60 frames per second.”
Unfortunately, despite the clamor, it seems unlikely that Sony will take action. Fans have been pleading with both Sony and FromSoftware for several years now. Without Sony’s green light, the creators of the Soulslike genre remain at a standstill, unable to release a new version, fully aware of the demand from its passionate player base.
