In my opinion, you’re missing the mark here, @LadyCharlie. Spoiling something for someone is never the right move. Just because some people weren’t around when something first came out or missed it during its original release window for any number of reasons doesn’t give anyone the green light to spoil their experience. Having that first encounter with a piece of media is a one-time deal. Why would we deny anyone the chance to feel that initial spark? It’s a unique and special experience.
I genuinely believe everyone deserves the opportunity to dive into something fresh. It shouldn’t matter when they arrive at it. Experiencing it without bias, external influence, or unwanted spoilers is key, as these elements can significantly shape how a person perceives any form of media.
