Back in July, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” made its entrance into Early Access on the Quest platform. Initially, it presented a single mission, or ‘chapter,’ along with a handful of unlockable blades. This was just the beginning, as developers at UNIVRS promised a steady roll-out of new content in the months to follow. Now, the ‘Complete Edition’ is out, expanding the game to include four chapters.
When we first tried the game in July, it felt somewhat like a tech demo. Although the core gameplay was enjoyable, it was limited to just one chapter and an infinite wave mode, complete with a scoreboard—a testament to its early development stage.
The Complete Edition now invites players to dive back into the action with the newly added third and fourth chapters, an Epilogue, and a boss fight against the formidable Armored Titan. An exciting addition is the cooperative play feature, where you can enjoy all the chapters together with friends.
UNIVRS has also dropped hints about an upcoming ‘Thunder Spear Unlock Event’ slated for January. They describe it as a “global challenge,” building anticipation among the player base. Looking ahead, a free update is set for 2025, as mentioned on the game’s official webpage.
Despite its initial rough edges noted in our earlier review, “Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable” clearly struck a chord with its audience. At the moment, it holds an impressive 4.5 out of 5 user rating on the Horizon Store.
For those who bought the Early Access version, Part 2 is now available as a free download. Newcomers can purchase Part 1 for $8, Part 2 for $12 (with Part 1 required), or opt for the complete bundle of both parts for $20. The game is compatible with Quest 2, Quest 3/S, and Quest Pro.
