Starting the year off a bit slow, Xbox Game Pass is picking up steam with some exciting releases by the end of January. Recently, Ninja Gaiden 2 Black surprised fans by appearing on the service, and there’s more to look forward to. Titles like Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector are all set to join Xbox Game Pass from day one.
While January wraps up with these exciting additions, February looks a bit sparse, with only two games confirmed as of now. Far Cry New Dawn is expected to kick off the month with a bang, and we’re hopeful that Obsidian’s Avowed will blow everyone away on February 18. However, adding a few more games could maintain that momentum throughout the month.
Turning our gaze to February 2025, there’s hope for some fantastic titles to make their way onto Game Pass. One game we’re eager to see is Thank Goodness You’re Here! Even though it missed out on recognition at The Game Awards, it received widespread praise last year. Yorkshire-based indie studio Coal Supper delivered a game that merges humor and gameplay seamlessly. In it, you play as a tiny traveling salesman on a quirky journey through a northern English town. Though it’s currently not on Xbox, bringing this to Game Pass would be perfect.
Meanwhile, Civilization enthusiasts are gearing up for February 11, when the much-awaited next installment hits consoles and PC. Although the chances of Civilization 7 arriving on Game Pass are slim, releasing Civilization 6 on the service could be a clever move. It would serve as a primer for newcomers ahead of the new release, preserving the core gameplay mechanics familiar to fans.
In a similar vein, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is launching on February 4, and while the series has a dedicated fanbase, it still lies somewhat under the radar. Bringing the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance to Xbox Game Pass could draw in a more extensive audience, potentially boosting sales for its sequel.
Perhaps one of the most anticipated additions by fans would be Elden Ring. Despite releasing three years ago, there’s still widespread demand for this game to join Xbox Game Pass. Given its massive popularity, adding Elden Ring could attract more players, especially with Elden Ring Nightreign on the horizon.
Xbox Game Pass has the potential to deliver an incredible line-up in February, with these titles fostering excitement for both long-time subscribers and newcomers. Let’s see if they can make it happen!
