Happy New Year, Travelers! As we step into 2025, the Genshin Impact team sends you stellar wishes for the year ahead. We’ve got some exciting news about Version 5.4 “Moonlight Amidst Dreams,” which is set to launch on February 12. Get ready to journey back to Inazuma, the vibrant land of Electro, where a grand celebration is on the horizon! Join forces with a new ally, Yumemizuki Mizuki, and reunite with beloved characters like Raiden Shogun and Yae Miko as they come together for the Mikawa Flower Festival. This magical festival celebrates both humans and youkai, creating a harmonious gathering beneath Inazuma’s enchanting moonlit sky.
Nestled at the base of Mt. Yougou in Inazuma, this year’s Mikawa Flower Festival brings an unparalleled burst of energy. Originally a revered meeting of youkai long ago, it’s now a lively celebration welcoming both humans and youkai. With a delightful mix of tradition and new friendships, this year’s festival is set to be unforgettable. Adding a spark of innovation is the new “48-hour Game Development Competition.” And here’s a little inside scoop: Raiden Shogun will make an exclusive appearance as she delves into a mysterious nightmare involving a friend from the past…
In this intriguing contest, humans and youkai team up to craft new games over two days. Thanks to the magic of Kitsune Meal, youkai can now communicate with humans, merging their mystical powers with human creativity. This promises an array of enchanting mini-games on the horizon!
The first entry, “A Little Fox’s Daydream,” presents a whimsical journey led by Mizuki and Kokomi. Navigate a dreamy landscape where a tiny fox transitions through sweet dreams and nightmares, with tasty fried tofu guiding the way.
Next up is “Bunshin Phantasm,” a strategic venture brought to you by Sayu, Yoimiya, and Kichiboushi. This game challenges players to lead adorable Muji-Muji Daruma, which mirror your movements, to activate pressure plates and make your way to victory!
Don’t miss out on “Akitsu Harpastum: Dreams Doubled,” a charming game presented by Thoma and his youkai friends. A playful blend of the classic “Akitsu Yuugei” brick-breaker and Mondstadt’s harpastum, it’s perfect for enjoying solo or with friends. Collect Festival Stamps as you play, which you can exchange for fantastic rewards, including the 4-star polearm, “Tamayuratei no Ohanashi.”
Let’s talk about the delightful additions at the Aisa Bathhouse! They’ve rolled out festival-themed bathrobes, supported by none other than Yumemizuki Mizuki, Inazuma’s newest 5-star character. Mizuki is a unique yumekui baku, able to devour nightmares and use this gift in her profession as a clinical psychologist. She aids her clients, including a Natlanese warrior afflicted post-war, in confronting their darkest fears. In Mizuki’s Story Quest, you’ll have the chance to visit this bathhouse and potentially experience her hypnotic dream therapy.
In battle, Mizuki dazzles as a 5-star Anemo catalyst, seamlessly blending Swirl DMG and healing into her support role. She fits effortlessly into various team setups—whether Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cryo—and amplifies Swirl DMG to enhance everyone’s damage output. When Mizuki uses her Elemental Skill, she gracefully enters the Dreamdrifter state, dealing periodic AoE Anemo DMG and enhancing her team’s Swirl DMG.
Her healing can be tailored to fit her team’s needs. With her Elemental Burst, she draws opponents in and creates “Yumemi Style Special Snacks.” Depending on the HP of your active character, these snacks will either heal them or inflict AoE Anemo DMG. Mizuki’s special talent even boosts healing efforts by offering a 30% HP bonus from HP Recovery Dishes!
And here’s a handy combat tip: while Mizuki is in Dreamdrifter mode, her range for picking up “Yumemi Style Special Snacks” increases, making it easier to collect them amidst the hustle of battle.
The Event Wishes for Version 5.4 introduces Mizuki’s new debut alongside Sigewinne’s rerun in the first wave, with Furina and Wriothesley making a comeback in the second phase. Mizuki will eventually join the Standard Wish banner once the Version 5.5 update rolls out.
Meeting cherished companions never gets old! Apart from the Mikawa Flower Festival, you’ll cross paths with many familiar characters in the new “Travelers’ Tales: Anthology Chapter” event. Spot the anecdote icons on your map to catch up with what they’ve been doing lately.
