Capcom has announced exciting news for fans of classic games: they are remastering the beloved PlayStation 2 title, Onimusha 2: Samurai’s Destiny, and it’s slated to arrive on the Nintendo Switch.
This direct sequel to the original Onimusha: Warlords was a huge hit, with 2.1 million copies sold globally, securing its spot as the top-selling installment in the series.
The game introduces Jubei Yagyu as its new protagonist, embarking on a gripping journey of revenge. Fun fact: Jubei’s character design is a tribute to the late Yusaku Matsuda, a renowned Japanese actor who gained fame in the 1980s.
This refreshed version of Onimusha 2 retains the classic game’s ambiance and core gameplay mechanics but comes packed with modern features and enhancements designed to improve the experience on today’s consoles.
