The buzz is about an upcoming development update video which promises to reveal detailed insights into Jinx, and hint at the next phase of the Alpha Lab test.
Who brought this intriguing piece of information to light? None other than Ben Forbes, the editor-in-chief at 2XKO. He took to Twitter to share the latest: “We just wrapped up the filming of our next 2XKO update! We’re in the process of editing and localizing it, but here’s what’s coming up: an in-depth look at our gameplay changes since Alpha Lab 1, including tweaks to Jinx; updates and info about Alpha Lab 2; plus, a special showmatch featuring our dev team.”
Ben didn’t stop there. He further explained that this update is particularly comprehensive. The video is so detailed that it might stretch to an hour in length. While it’s scheduled for release towards the end of March, they’re not quite set for a PowerPoint livestreaming event, but who knows? Maybe one day.
However, don’t get too carried away just yet. Ben made it clear there’s not going to be any new character reveals this time around, so you might want to hold off on those speculations.
Last year, the team at 2XKO left us hanging with a “See you next year” note, hinting at new updates expected in February. However, Shaun Rivera, the game director, later took to Twitter to announce some changes. These included adjustments to the scope of the next Alpha Lab test and a fresh twist for the game.
It appears that things have shifted internally at Riot, causing the update initially planned for February to be bumped to this month instead. Despite this slight delay, the game’s launch is still on track for this year. This upcoming update will hopefully provide a clearer picture of the developments, what’s under construction, and maybe where we can spot 2XKO in action next.
