This week’s Nintendo Switch eShop lineup is full of nostalgic surprises, blending classic SNES games with fresh tracks on Nintendo’s music app, plenty of enticing sales, and a slew of new releases to explore.
Nintendo Switch Online is bolstering its collection with four new additions from Koei’s rich SNES era. Leading the charge are Nobunaga’s Ambition and its sequel, Nobunaga’s Ambition: Lord of Darkness. Originally gracing screens in 1993 and 1994, these games transport players to Japan’s Sengoku period, where your mission is to unite the fractious regions under a single banner.
Joining the lineup is Romance of the Three Kingdoms IV Wall of Fire, a strategic gem from 1994 set in the tumultuous landscape of ancient China, drawing inspiration from the celebrated historical novel. And let’s not forget Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, released in 1993, which invites players on a European-themed voyage of discovery and trade.
Over to something musical, Nintendo’s Music app is getting a rhythmic boost. Though it’s a little puzzling, this week’s update includes only 23 tracks from Kirby and the Forgotten Land. It seems we might have to wait for the rest of the soundtrack to make its grand entrance later.
The new games coming to the Switch eShop are certainly not to be missed, and that includes Which Way Up: Galaxy Games. If you’re curious about this title, don’t miss our chat with Turtle Flip Studio, the game’s developer, on last week’s Pure Nintendo Podcast, and stay tuned for our detailed review.
So there you have it for this week’s eShop happenings. Are there any titles capturing your attention? We’d love to hear what you’re diving into this week!
