For those who find real-world photography enticing but lack the time or budget to globe-trot, this virtual adventure awaits. Influenced by actual places that left a lasting impression on me, my goal was to bring these sights to you as vividly as possible. After immersing myself in Unreal Engine over recent years, I have crafted the game I always dreamed of creating.

Growing up, photography became a vital part of my life, not just as a form of expression, but as a means to preserve memories, many of which might otherwise fade with time. Lushfoil places photography at its core, inviting players to engage intimately with the environment and appreciate the finer details all around them.

Incorporated into the game is my own experience with a Canon 1100, mirroring its functions with an in-game DSLR. This offers seasoned photographers a familiar toolbox of settings, while remaining accessible for newcomers eager to jump in and shoot away. With advanced techniques like simulated shutter speed and long exposure included, I’ve aimed to make this as realistic as possible.

Venture through 10 uniquely chosen locations across countries like France, Italy, Japan, China, Australia, Nepal, and Iceland. Each site is meticulously detailed, filled with photographic objectives and surprises to discover. The beauty of this game lies in dictating the weather and time conditions, opening up endless creative possibilities. You can adjust sun angles, control the wind or summon rain and snow to set your perfect scene.

The essence of Lushfoil is, at its heart, all about photography. However, I’ve slipped in a layer of tasks and exploration to structure the experience. The game adapts to your pace, be it a slow, contemplative approach or a quest for completion. There’s also a wealth of educational content for budding photographers interested in honing their real-life camera skills.
