A new third-party classic from the PS Plus Premium lineup has made its way to the PS5 and PS4, complete with trophies. The game in question is the 1996 PS1 title, Alone in the Dark 2. It’s exciting news for fans, as the game boasts a straightforward collection of 21 trophies, including the always sought-after Platinum.
Now, on to a bit of technicality: although Alone in the Dark 2 is out today for both PS5 and PS4, available through PS Plus Premium or a separate purchase on the PS Store, there’s a small hitch. At the moment, websites that track trophies have only picked up the PS4 trophy list. It seems like the PS5 list is just fashionably late to the party, but with the PS Plus catalog refresh still rolling out across regions, it should go live later today.
Regarding the trophies themselves, players can expect a mix of story-based rewards and those related to various tasks and collectibles. The good news? None of them seem to demand an excessive amount of time to snag.
Speaking of classics and trophies, it’s worth mentioning that War of the Monsters, seeing its re-release today, also comes with trophies. This might not come as a surprise, considering it was originally published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It’s the third-party titles that sometimes miss the trophy mark upon release. However, credit where it’s due: Sony has been pretty stellar at working with partners to add trophy features post-launch.
