Luke Dale, known for his role as Hans Capon in the Kingdom Come: Deliverance series, recently shared some tantalizing insights about potential future developments for Warhorse Studios’ hit RPG. Given the success of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, fans are already eager to see what the developers have up their sleeves for the sequel.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 made a splash when it debuted in February, earning high praise for its gripping narrative and quickly becoming a strong contender for the 2025 Game of the Year. The game is set in the year 1403 within the Kingdom of Bohemia, ingeniously weaving a tale that combines historical figures with fictional ones and drawing heavily from actual historical events without being constrained by them. This narrative technique gives Warhorse Studios the freedom to craft their unique storyline while staying somewhat true to history.
During a conversation with Dan Allen Gaming, Luke Dale suggested an exciting setting for the next installment—a game centered around the Hussite Wars. “If money and time weren’t constraints, I’d transport us to the Hussite Wars. It’s such a rich slice of history that few people truly appreciate… the stories, the gravity, the stakes, and the historical intricacies from that era are just mind-blowing,” he mentioned. As the Hussite Wars began in 1419, this would introduce a 16-year leap from the timeline of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, posing an intriguing challenge for Warhorse Studios to tackle.
Dale was tight-lipped about any concrete details regarding a potential Kingdom Come: Deliverance 3, saying only, “If they decide to move forward, I’m confident Warhorse will excel. Even without my involvement, they’ll nail it, because they approach their work with heart and passion. That’s why they always deliver.” Despite his evasive comments, fans of Hans Capon shouldn’t worry just yet about Dale’s future participation being off the table. It’s well documented that he skilfully kept his role in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 under wraps for years, enhancing the eventual reveal.
Before we start speculating too far into the future, there’s still much to anticipate for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2. Warhorse Studios earlier outlined a roadmap for the game, announcing three upcoming DLCs—Brushes with Death, Legacy of the Forge, and Mysteria Ecclesiae—slated for release throughout 2025. Though the details remain under wraps, fans have a lot to look forward to in the coming year.
