Zombie fans, get ready to celebrate—Treyarch has heard your calls. The excitement stems from the latest update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, where the developers outlined some key changes rolling out on Thursday. They’ve decided to reverse a previous adjustment to the Zombies Directed Mode that started back on January 3, acknowledging, "We don’t always get it right the first time."
"We understand it’s frustrating to get a ‘fix’ weeks later for something that wasn’t a problem for you initially," the team mentioned. "That’s why we’re rolling back the Directed Mode changes, adding four new buffs to Shadow Rift, and working on a solution so speedrunners can once again use the Shock Charge tactic in Terminus without a hitch. The first two updates are live right now, while the speedrun fix needs further testing before its release," they explained.
Treyarch also shared that some problems are trickier to solve than anticipated, requiring more time to address certain bugs or exploits. For instance, the Vermin double-attack glitch and the Terminus Speedrun fix are still pending, but they’re expected to be resolved with the launch of Season 2 on January 28, 2025.
