It seems like Red Dead Redemption 2, originally released back in 2018, has once again climbed the ranks to become Steam’s third highest-grossing game, all thanks to a hefty discount. The ongoing sale from Rockstar slashed prices by as much as 80 percent, with the beloved cowboy epic enjoying a 75 percent cut. This impressive markdown helped it leap an astonishing 74 spots up the charts.
Taking a look at the top of the leaderboard, Counter-Strike 2 has reclaimed the number one position, nudging out PUBG: Battlegrounds, which now takes the second spot. That said, PUBG continues to hold its ground as a dominant free-to-play shooter.
Meanwhile, Valve’s Steam Deck maintains its steady presence in fourth place, positioned just above Marvel Rivals, which has comfortably held on to fifth place for another week. The much-anticipated Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the next installment in Square Enix’s remake series, made an impactful debut, landing in sixth after its release just a couple of days ago on January 23rd. It managed to outrank EA Sports FC 25, which climbed two spots to settle in seventh.
Path of Exile 2 slipped down a notch, now sitting in eighth place, while pre-orders for Sid Meier’s Civilization 7 saw a boost, inching up to the ninth spot ahead of its release on February 11th. Rounding out the list, Tencent’s Delta Force shooter takes the tenth position.
