Terrifier: The ARTcade Game has fans buzzing with the announcement of its content-heavy physical collector’s edition. However, this exciting package comes with some restrictions that eager gamers need to take note of.
Initially unveiled back in October 2024, Terrifier: The ARTcade Game is the brainchild of the Spanish development team at Relevo, and it will see the light through Barcelona’s SelectaVision under their SelectaPlay label. This 2D pixel art beat-em-up aims to dive deep into the world of Terrifier, targeting a release sometime in 2025.
SelectaPlay has lifted the curtain on what the Collector’s Edition will offer, and it’s an impressive array of goodies. Alongside the physical game, the package will include a quirky “Puke” bag and two hard enamel pins featuring the franchise icons, Art the Clown, and Vicky. Collectors will also find a reversible poster, four character stickers, an exclusive art book, a soundtrack CD, an instruction manual, and bloody gloves reminiscent of Art’s style—minus the missing fingertips. Everything will be housed in a premium collector’s case, ensuring that this is a must-have for dedicated fans.
Currently, the package is up for pre-order on the official website. Typically, SelectaPlay’s collector’s editions are only available before the game’s release. So, while there’s no set date for the game launch yet, it seems a safe bet that the collector’s edition will be a 2025-only affair.
There is a catch, though. While the game itself is set to land on PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, the Collector’s Edition is only available for the PS5 and Switch. This means Xbox and PC gamers will need to settle for digital downloads exclusively.
As for the game, Terrifier: The ARTcade Game will weave its narrative through the twisted lore of the first three films while also weaving an original meta storyline. Players can expect the iconic Art the Clown to cause havoc on movie sets in his notorious, gruesome fashion. The collector’s edition will also include exclusive digital content, rounding out the package with a Hardcore mode featuring an alternative ending, a new character skin, and an extra gallery for additional immersion into this dark universe.
