Bungie’s latest patch for Destiny 2 has rolled out, addressing some key issues across various gameplay aspects and making noteworthy adjustments to exotic items, such as Hunter’s Radiant Dance Machines. Weapon perks have also seen some tweaks. It’s been a dynamic period for Bungie, especially with the launch of fresh content and events within the Destiny 2 universe, like the Moments of Triumph and the much-anticipated Guardian Games 2025.
However, alongside these exciting events, the evolution to episodic content has unfortunately brought along a surge in bugs. Over the span of three episodes, players have encountered numerous glitches, ranging from weapon perks failing to activate to significant disturbances that impacted lengthy gaming sessions. Previous fixes tackled many of these, but minor issues persisted. This current update steps in to tackle those lingering nuisances.
With this week’s Destiny 2 reset, Bungie implemented its latest update, introducing changes that Crucible fans will want to note. The Competitive points system now offers more frequent positive performance bonuses. Matchmaking has been refined to prevent former high-rank players from unfairly facing lower-ranked competitors in this season. Additionally, a glitch in Trials of Osiris, where post-game Adept weapon drops misapplied the double loot modifier, has been resolved.
The Hunter’s exotic leg armor, Radiant Dance Machines, has been the subject of, well, a dance of fixes and adjustments. In this episode, Heresy, players noticed issues with Radiant Dance Machines’ interaction with particular weapons like Tommy’s Matchbook and The Last Word. It turns out the precision angle was more generous for mouse and keyboard users than with controllers, but that’s been adjusted now.
One of the more entertaining incidents involved an unplanned early release of the Rite of the Nine activity. Intended for Act 3, it accidentally launched during the Act 2 update, allowing players a sneak peek. This unintended launch saw players exploring and picking up unfinished, texture-less weapons, some sporting unexpected perk combinations.
