Bungie has just rolled out an update in Destiny 2 that directly responds to player concerns, particularly regarding the difficulty of the Court of Blades activity. This update not only addresses the player feedback but also fixes several weapon bugs that were causing some issues. Even though the main Episode Heresy has concluded, there’s plenty more in store for Destiny 2 enthusiasts, with new updates and exciting announcements on the horizon.
Lately, the Destiny 2 community has been buzzing with a mix of anticipation and enthusiasm. The recent Marathon gameplay reveal stirred some concerns, but news about the next expansion, titled The Edge of Fate, has reignited excitement. This expansion marks the beginning of a new chapter dubbed the Codename: Frontiers era. Bungie plans to unveil more about The Edge of Fate in a scheduled livestream on May 6. In the meantime, they’re diligently updating the game to enhance the experience for those diving into the current episode.
In a recent update, Bungie has implemented significant changes to the Court of Blades by adjusting the Lucent Hive enemies, who were seen as disproportionally challenging. The health of Lucent Hive Guardian bosses has been decreased, and their super abilities are now disabled until they reach below 33% health. Additionally, the Lucent Hive knights have been removed from the Expert rotator to prevent unexpected spikes in difficulty.
Along with addressing these gameplay issues, Bungie has also resolved some problems with Rocket Sidearms and Support Frame Auto Rifles. Rocket Sidearms will now cause self-damage once more, and Support Frame Auto Rifles will correctly deliver their intrinsic elemental effects during the second encounter of Destiny 2’s Sundered Doctrine.
As Bungie transitions into a full-time two-game studio, some fans worry this dual focus might affect Destiny 2’s future. However, Marathon game director Joe Ziegler has reassured players that Destiny 2 remains a priority, as evidenced by the announcement of The Edge of Fate. This announcement signifies a promising new era for the long-standing franchise.
