A new title update has launched for EA Sports FC 25, with the developers working diligently to address player-reported issues. Title Update 7 makes its debut shortly after the voting opened for this year’s Ultimate Team of the Year selections, following closely on the heels of the sizable annual December update. While this update might not pack as hefty a punch, it brings plenty to the table.
Wondering what Title Update 7 has in store? You can dive into the full patch notes for all the details, but let’s spotlight a few standout features in gameplay that EA highlighted.
“We’ve been noticing an excessive use of first-time lofted through balls—a tactic often seen in unusual scenarios, especially at kickoffs or from tight angles deep in the field,” EA explained. To remedy this, the accuracy of these passes has been toned down. Furthermore, a fix has been implemented for an issue where the player positioning system occasionally crowded the dribbler by moving defenders too close, inadvertently triggering auto-tackles. This fix should also help maintain midfield positioning adequately.
If your main concern is avoiding a drubbing, like myself, you’ll be keen on the third adjustment. “Our analysis showed goalkeepers were frequently going into a ‘give up’ animation when faced with chip shots, even when recovery might have been viable,” EA noted. Subsequently, they’ve enhanced the likelihood of goalies making desperation saves in those scenarios.
Additionally, EA has shared in a tweet what they’re looking to tweak in the next planned update. The future focus will include:
– Adjustments to player speeds, ensuring dribblers maintain an advantage when appropriate.
– Fine-tuning finesse shot playstyle for better balance.
– Improvements to AI defender interception behavior.
– Revisions to assisted shooting mechanics, specifically for lace and finesse shots.
