This week, we encountered a little hiccup in our plans.
Kicking off with our 1-900-103-4RFN offers, we dove deep into Death Wish 4 (00:00:26). Although intended as just an introduction, in true RFN style, we took our time with it.
We spent quite a bit on this opening segment, partly to ensure new listeners could get to know our voices and names, and also to confirm whether Jon was around or not (he often isn’t). Moving on to NEW BUSINESS, Greg provided a brief update on Mario & Luigi: Brothership before leading a lively discussion on the new Nintendo Switch Online release, Donkey Kong Land (00:13:38). Meanwhile, James resumed his thoughtful antics with the freshly-released KUUKYOMI 4: Consider It (00:31:04). These games may seem repetitive, but they never fail to entertain.
Guillaume shared his final thoughts on Trials of Mana (00:39:54), ultimately deciding it’s an excellent game and conveniently part of the Nintendo Black Friday sale. However, he was noticeably less enthusiastic about the Amazon series Like a Dragon: Yakuza (00:45:43). As for Jon, he’s revisited Skyrim, yet again (01:05:01). This time it’s on the PS5, and he’s genuinely playing it. He and James also brainstormed strategies for purchasing vouchers for the eShop and Xbox Live – it’s almost game time for them.
After a quick break, we compiled a list of eight Nintendo DS games, with each of us choosing two, to decide on our pick for The Nintendo DS 20th Anniversary Retroactive (01:15:27). Curious about what we chose? Tune in to find out.
