Not long after announcing the release date for the Switch 2, Nintendo had to put preorders on hold in the U.S. and Canada due to complications with Donald Trump’s tariffs. Fortunately, Trump eventually pushed back those tariffs, paving the way for Nintendo to finally share when North American fans can start their frantic rush to beat the scalpers.
Mark your calendars: Retail pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 will open on April 24, 2025. The best part? The price tag remains the same: $449.99 for just the Switch 2 or $499.99 if you want the bundle with Mario Kart World.
Both Mario Kart World and Donkey Kong Bananza will keep their initial pricing too, with the former going for $79.99 and the latter for $69.99 upon launch.
