Later today, on March 15, Xbox Game Pass is set to part ways with a total of seven games, including two much-loved Sega titles, Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6. Fans of Lies of P should also note its departure ahead of the summer 2025 release of its Overture expansion.
Today marks the first wave of departures from Xbox Game Pass for March 2025, but it certainly won’t be the last. Microsoft typically rotates games out of the service every two weeks, as it did on February 28 when nine titles, such as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun, were removed. More games are expected to leave at the end of this month.
Among the titles bidding farewell today are No More Heroes 3, Evil West, and Solar Ash. Lies of P will also be removed, along with SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom – Rehydrated. The roster, unfortunately, includes the notable Yakuza games, Yakuza 5 and Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
Just recently, MLB The Show 24 was slated to exit Xbox Game Pass today but seems to have been granted a stay, as it’s no longer listed under the “Leaving Soon” games on the Xbox Cloud Gaming app. This means the baseball favorite will still be available for aspiring MVPs for now.
For completionists out there, tackling these soon-to-be-removed games in limited time might prove challenging. Heart Machine’s Solar Ash, the shortest game on the list, still requires about nine hours for a completionist run. Expect these titles to disappear from the Xbox Game Pass catalog around midnight, local time.
As March 2025 progresses, we anticipate another set of games to exit the Xbox Game Pass lineup toward the end of the month. This will coincide with the announcement of the second set of new monthly releases. That announcement will likely occur around March 18, coinciding with the debut of 33 Immortals on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This new multiplayer roguelike comes from the creators of the acclaimed Spiritfarer, Thunder Lotus Games. Meanwhile, Atomfall, a post-apocalyptic action adventure, is already confirmed for a March 27 release.
