The team behind “Ghosts of Tabor,” Combat Waffle Studio, is gearing up for the release of their next big project, “Silent North.” This VR shooter promises an intense mix of multiplayer action and zombie survival, with its launch on Quest and Steam’s early access expected to roll out sometime in March.
Under the banner of Beyond Frames Entertainment, “Silent North” transports players into the majestic backdrop of the Swiss Alps. Here, you’ll find yourself entrenched in a world teeming with zombies, alongside other players who are just as ruthless and eager to loot and kill—much like yourself.
In this immersive experience, you have the choice to band together with others or strike out on your own. As you scavenge for the necessary gear, you must also fend off what the studio describes as a “never-ending supply of hungry corpses.”
Filled with thrilling PVPVE elements, the game is designed so you can’t avoid clashes with both the living and the infected. Whether you’re navigating the mountainous terrains or the sweeping plains, these encounters will keep your adrenaline spiking as you engage in nail-biting shootouts to stay alive. Yet, always be on guard—other players might be lurking in the shadows, ready to launch a surprise attack.
“Silent North” is currently available for pre-order on the Horizon Store for $17, which is a 15% savings from its standard $20 price at launch. Starting today, you can also add it to your wishlist on Steam, where it will be offered with a similar 15% launch discount.
While the game is set to hit early access in March via Steam and the Horizon Store, details about its launch on other VR platforms, such as PSVR 2 and Pico headsets, are still under wraps.
An update as of February 21, 2024, notes that although March is the intended release month, the exact launch date is yet to be confirmed.
