This month’s gaming updates are packed with new features and improvements across our platforms. On the horizon, get ready for seamless purchases on the Xbox app via mobile, the introduction of personal game streaming on Xbox consoles, tips for maximizing storage space, and more. Dive into the details of these exciting enhancements coming your way.
### Purchase Games, Subscribe to Game Pass, and Access Perks via the Xbox App
Exciting news! A highly-requested feature is finally coming to the Xbox app. Players will soon have the power to purchase games and additional content, subscribe to Game Pass, and snag Perks—all from the convenience of the Xbox app on mobile. This means you can pre-order hits like Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 and have it ready to install on your console right from your phone. Fancy a game of Assassin’s Creed Shadows or MLB The Show 25? Grab them through the app and jump right into Game Pass. Plus, Ultimate members can now redeem fun Perks like the Sea of Thieves Seventh Serving Emote directly from their app.
Initially rolling out to beta testers on iOS and Android, this feature will soon make its way to everyone via the Google Play and Apple App Stores. Have a payment method saved? The app makes it even easier by letting you purchase games and add-ons with just a couple of taps.
### Stream Your Own Game Now on Xbox Consoles
Starting today, if you’re a Game Pass Ultimate member, you can stream select games you own right alongside the Game Pass catalog on your Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. This marks an expansion from the range of supported devices introduced in November, including Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices, Meta Quest headsets, and any browser-compatible gadgets like PCs and smartphones. This feature not only saves your storage but also lets you dive into gameplay instantly, skipping downloads.
To get started, head to My games & apps > Full library > Owned Games on your Xbox console. Games available for cloud play show a cloud icon on their page. Make your search effortless with filters: navigate to Filter > Ready to play > Cloud gaming. When you spot a game you fancy, hit Play with Cloud Gaming and start your adventure immediately. And the convenience doesn’t stop there—begin streaming directly from the Store app after purchasing cloud-enabled games.
### Dive into Over 100+ Games with Stream Your Own Game

### Unlock Xbox Remote Play on More Devices
Gaming just got more connected. You can now play any game installed on your console by navigating to xbox.com/remoteplay through any device with a compatible web browser. Although access via the Xbox app on mobile will be adjusted, mobile users can still enjoy games through their browsers.
Soon, Xbox remote play will be accessible on more gadgets, including some Samsung Smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV devices, and Meta Quest headsets. With Xbox remote play and Cloud Gaming unified on Xbox.com, we’re broadening device support, granting enhanced access to the store on mobile, and setting the stage for improved streaming experiences and fantastic new features. Excitingly, backward-compatible titles from the Classic Xbox and Xbox 360 will now be enjoyed via remote play across all supported platforms.
### Boost Your Storage with Smart Space Management
We’re introducing a nifty way to clear up storage across all Xbox consoles. Alongside listing unused add-ons and minimizing game files, we’ll also suggest clearing duplicate games or those you no longer own. Try it out by heading to My Games & Apps > Manage > Free up space.
### Explore Newly Arrived Game Hubs
The latest game hubs on Xbox consoles are here, providing detailed insights about your favorite titles. From player stats and achievements to friends who are gaming right now and the latest captures, it’s all there. For a select group of users, this feature pops up right when you select a game you’ve been playing or have installed. Plus, the design always keeps the Play button in focus, letting you jump into play with just a couple of quick taps.
A newly launched setting allows players to skip straight into gameplay rather than navigating through game hubs. Activate this option by visiting your personalization settings or going to My games & apps > Manage > Games & apps.
### Add Flair with South of Midnight Dynamic Background for Xbox Series X|S
