Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled has zoomed onto Xbox Game Pass, now accessible on all membership levels, including Core. Coinciding with this release, Xbox Game Pass Core subscribers also get to enjoy the thrill of DayZ and the quirky fun of the original Goat Simulator.
The addition of Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is super exciting for fans of racing games. Originally developed by Canadian studio Beenox, this game is a brilliant remaster of the classic 1999 PlayStation game by Naughty Dog. It made its debut in June 2019, winning over critics and driving up strong reviews on platforms like OpenCritic, where it boasts an average score of 83 and a 90% recommendation rate. The vibrant graphics, a wide array of content, and top-notch split-screen multiplayer experience are just a few reasons why reviewers are raving about it.
Adding to the buzz, there’s speculation about another beloved platformer possibly joining Xbox Game Pass soon, keeping subscribers on their toes for more exciting gaming adventures.
After more than five years since its initial release, CTR Nitro-Fueled has hit Xbox Game Pass, arriving in the early hours of December 4 for Xbox One and Series X/S users. However, PC gamers will have to wait a bit longer, as the game hasn’t yet ventured into the PC space via Xbox Cloud Gaming like some other titles have.
Today marks the exciting debut of CTR Nitro-Fueled on XGP Core. Despite not being a new release, this 2019 kart racer launches directly into both the XGP Standard and Ultimate libraries. Plus, it expands into the Xbox Game Pass Core roster—a library that gets updated less frequently compared to other tiers. Along with it, DayZ and the original Goat Simulator have also joined the Core lineup as part of this new December 4 update. Goat Simulator, in particular, has had an interesting journey—after being removed from other tiers just last month, it’s back and ready for action across all Xbox Game Pass tiers now.
The December wave of new Xbox Game Pass titles also brings Forza Motorsport, Hauntii, and Humanity to the Standard tier. Previously accessible to regular members until the subscription overhaul occurred in the summer, these games are now available to all Standard-tier subscribers once more.
As we look forward to wrapping up 2024, Xbox Game Pass anticipates introducing at least four more titles to its repertoire before year-end. But it’s not all expansion—13 games, including Forza Horizon 4, will be making their exit starting December 15.
Xbox Game Pass Ultimate remains a standout offering, featuring over 100 games available without needing separate purchases, establishing it as a key player in the Xbox gaming ecosystem.
